Description

Micro Jig’s Deflector/Connector serves a couple of functions within the GRR-RIPPER system.

The most obvious benefit is that it allows connecting two GRR-RIPPER units end to end for working with longer lumber or side by side for machining wider panels. Using two Deflector/Connectors allows an even wider spacing when connecting two units side by side.

When used with a single GRR-Ripper, the Deflector/Connector also serves as a supplementary guard or shield extending off the side or the end of the GRR-Ripper body. Attached to the side of the body, it helps deflect chips that can be thrown upward from a router bit or when router using a bearing or guide pin. Attached to the end of the body when used at the table saw, it helps cover the exposed blade at the end of a rip cut.
