Not to be confused with a tape weight remover, the bead starting tool is made of a stronger non flex nylon. When removing a tire with a tape weight remover the tool will overly flex and the bead will reseat itself. The stronger bead starting tool will not flex and stay stationary with the tool.

This heavy duty nylon tool comes standard on lever less tire changing machines. The bead starting tool is used just in the begin of removing a tire. The tool is inserted just after the mounting head hooks the tire. The tool helps the bead stay stationary with the wheel. Without this tool the bead drops back into the drop center
