Applications

EZ-Firestop® Grommets are designed to permanently seal small cable penetrations through drywall.

Specifications

The firestop system shall be a single component, molded plastic sleeve supplied with a fully encapsulated, tamper-proof integral firestop system and smoke sealing gasket. The device shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s written instructions. A single device may be used for both metal and plastic piping accommodating heights up to 8” via cutting or for heights over 8” with extensions utilizing an adjustable pin. Sleeve is bidirectional and designed for both floor and ceiling penetrations.The device shall also be certified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) as a through-penetration firestop device when tested to ASTM E814 (UL1479) and CAN/ULC-S115 for up to a three hour rating. The device shall also be certified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) as a Class 1 water rated system and has withstood a 3-ft head of water for 72 hours with no leakage (per UL-1479 W-rating). Manufactured in the United States in an ISO certified manufacturing facility.
